OnTheMove.africa Courier/Parcel Delivery App was designed to connect customers with transport service providers by providing on-demand, quick, efficient and dedicated deliveries.

Our system caters to businesses who need reliable transport of their goods, as well as to independent customers who need once off deliveries.

We have multiple categories/sizes of vehicles so that  any size of load is eligible to be transported.

Our customers have the convenience of requesting a single trip where the driver can collect at one point but deliver to multiple points.

To request a delivery, a user has to:

• Download our app on an Android device from Google Play Store or this website.
•  Register a free account in under 2 minutes. Edit profile, add funds to the in-app wallet which will be used to pay for deliveries (unless cash is selected as the payment method in the profile section).
• Select the pickup point/location using the map or by typing the address.
• Select the type/category of vehicle that is needed, create a load.
• At the next page, the pickup point address is visible from which the user can add packages that need collection, by clicking the "+" on the top right corner.
• The drop off location/address can be selected, as well as some basic information about the package can be entered as well as details of the receiver which include the cell number where the delivery OTP will be sent to. The OTP needs to be given to the driver by the receiver to end the trip in order for the driver to continue on his journey. This is a safety feature to safeguard customers and drivers by ensuring that the package is handed over to an authorised person, to serve as proof of delivery, and to ensure that the driver cannot continue doing other trips without delivering the package.
• Once the information is entered, the customer can "Book Ride" to search for nearby available drivers. Requests are in real-time and only go to nearby drivers who are not currently busy with other deliveries, and with the same category of vehicle that the customer selected.
• When a driver is found, the request pops up on the drivers screen with details that was entered by the customer.
• The driver has 3 minutes to quote on each delivery based on the pickup and delivery point and package information.
• Thereafter, the response pops up on the customers screen with the quoted price per package.
• The customer can accept the rate, after which the driver can proceed with collection/delivery, or the customer can first negotiate the price by clicking negotiate and entering a counter offer.
• The customer will be able to track the driver throughout the duration of the trip, and once delivered, the OTP is given to the driver along with his payment. Payment can be made in cash, unless payment method under the customer's profile is set to "Wallet", in which case, the wallet would need to be topped up prior to booking a trip, using a credit card, instantEFT, etc directly from the app. 

Our drivers are independent transport service providers who have registered on our system to provide such services. We have systems in place to collect information for verification/background checks on drivers/vehicle owners so that safety and security of our customers and their packages are not compromised, and we have a strict policy in place against any breaches of our codes of conduct by any driver.

• Customer can pay cash on delivery, or pay via our in-app wallet which is topped up via our secure payment processing provider (Payfast) which offers  options of credit card, instantEFT, etc. Paying via the wallet is also convenient, safe and secure, especially when the sender is paying. Funds are deducted from the customers wallet upon delivery, and added to the drivers wallet. Actual funds are released to drivers on a weekly or monthly basis after deducting our commission. 
• App can be used for small deliveries as well as large truck loads over short and long distance, especially due to the option of transport service providers quoting based on each delivery, which is more competitive than a "per KM" charge on longer distances.
